The leading aspirant for the position of National Chairman of the governing Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, has been massively endorsed by the entire Wester Region Chairmen and many other Party Chairmen and delegates around the country during his nationwide campaign ahead of the National Delegates Conference.

As the most favourite aspirant for the SLPP National Chairman, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa received a rapturous welcome and massive endorsement in most of the sixteen districts where he launched his manifesto campaign amidst pomp and pageantry, including Kambia, Port Loko, Pujehun, Kailahun, Kenema, Tonkolili, Falaba, Karene, amongst other districts.

In Kailahun District, loyal party delegates poured in from the nook and cranny of the district with one clear message: "Jimmy Batilo Songa is our man for the National Chairman of our great political party."

Cheers echoed through the halls and open grounds where banners fluttered and drums beat out a steady rhythm of unity. Delegates, young and old, clasped hands and shared bold promises of solidarity, each voice adding to a rising chorus of confidence in the party's next chapter.

In this moment of high energy and green pride, Kailahun District didn't just endorse a candodate; it signalled collective review to rally behind leadership they trust. The gathering was more than politics; it was a pledge to stand together, ready to push forward with renewed hope and determination.

The strong, supportive, and indefatigable wife of Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, the awaiting National Chairman of SLPP, Hon. Bernadette Wuyata Songa was in Pujehun last Sunday and had a very fruitful discussion with the female delegates who came out boldly to declare their support for her husband for the next National Chairman of the SLPP.

Having strong support from female delegates showcases the important role women play in politics and decision-making within the SLPP. The engagement also fosters unity and strengthens the campaign efforts of Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa.

In Kenema City, Jimmy Batilo Songa achieved a remarkable milestone by reconciling the long-standing dispute between Team Agbao and Team Fonnie - two major factions within Kenema District branch of SLPP.

Through his timely intervention and demonstrated leadership, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa has succeeded in bringing the two sides together under one united front, reaffirming his commitment to fostering peace and strengthening party cohesion at every level.

Speaking at the historic gathering, Mr. Fonnie expressed profound gratitude to Jimmy Batilo Songa for his exceptional leadership and peacebuilding efforts. He assured the leading aspirant of their unwavering commitment to maintain pasting peace and unity in Kenema District, pledging that the district will stand solidly behind him.

The show of solidarity did not stop there. Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa was also accompanied by the District Chairmen of Western Western Rural, Western Urban, East Rural and Central, as well as the District Chairmen of Falaba, Karene, and Bombali Districts, alongside a cross-section of Regional Executives fron the North - signalling broad-based support that cuts across districts and regions, respectively.
