Despite the inferno that engulfed the bank headquarters in Freetown on Sunday night 5th May 2024, the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) continues with its normal banking operations across the country.

According to a news release issued by the Board and Management of SLCB yesterday, the fire incident at the towering building accommodating the bank’s headquarters and branch on Siaka Stevens Street did not affect their normal banking operations nationwide.

SLCB further assured that its services are running smoothly and that any customer will assess all banking facilities as usual, noting that the bank is dedicated to providing the best service and also committed to meeting all of its needs.

One of the Directors of SLCB informed The Satellite that despite the inferno, customers can be rest assured of the safety of their accounts at the bank.
The Director further assured that customers’ investments and savings are safeguarded with the bank and that they appreciate their continued confidence in SLCB.
