Honourable Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Saturday 11th November, 2023 commissioned 1,100 recruits of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) at the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA) at Hastings in the Western Area Rural District (WARD).

Speaking at the passing out ceremony of Squad R1 2023 Recruits, which was attended by thousands of exuberant parents, relatives, friends and well-wishers, VP Juldeh Jalloh reminded the police recruits that the peace, development and democracy of this country rest squarely on the SLP.

The Chairman of Police Council assured that His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will continue to support the SLP with the finances needed to build up and maintain professionalism in the police force.

The Vice President congratulated the police recruits and thanked the leadership of the SLP for continuing to main law and order in the country.
He further reminded the police of the stringent stance of the government against the use of the deadly drug Kush in the country with the combination of law enforcement agencies and psychosocial support approach.
