CEO Orange SL, Sekou Amadou Bah, on Friday 24th November received the prestigious award as “Environmental Champion CEO of the Year” during the 7th Annual Shout Climate Change Africa awards ceremony held at the Radisson Blue Mammy Yoko Hotel in Aberdeen, Freetown.

Receiving the prestigious award, CEO Orange SL, Sekou Amadou Bah, emphasised on the impact of climate change being a critical factor that affects everyone.

This, according to him, is the reason why Orange SL is taking sustainable steps towards reducing the impact of the company’s activities by investing in renewable energy mechanisms to power its operations, putting Environmental Health and Safety programs in place to reduce its carbon footprints.

Orange Sierra Leone was also awarded as “Carbon Zero Champion Mobile Company of the Year” for taking sustainable steps to reduce the impact of its operations on the environment.

This is the second time in the last two years Orange Sierra Leone has been receiving awards in recognition of enhancing its environmental responsibility.
