In a vibrant ceremony at the company’s headquarters on Monday 7th October, 2024 in Freetown, Orange Sierra Leone, the undisputed leader in the telecommunications industry in the country kicked off its highly anticipated Customer Service Week (CSW) 2024, under the theme: " Celebrating Excellence in Customer service: Together, we serve with passion and commitment."
This annual celebration is part of a global initiative that Orange embraces to appreciate customers and highlight its commitment to enhancing customer service delivery.
The week-long event from 7th – 11th October, 2024 opened with a colorful ceremony graced by the company’s CEO, Sekou Amadou Bah, alongside key government officials including Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernoh Bah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Timothy Musa Kabba, Civil Society Activist, William Sao Lamin as guest speakers customer representatives and partners.
In his statement, Orange Chief Executive Officer, Sekou Amadou Bah emphasized that customer satisfaction remains at the heart of the company’s operations.
He highlighted recent upgrades in Orange’s customer service infrastructure, modernization and expansion of its networks nationwide to enable quality services delivering.
The CEO underscored the importance of the week pointing out that the company is celebrating the commitment and dedication of the customer service team that are providing the customers with the best possible service in a daily basis.
According to him, customer service is more than just a department because it is a bridge and a culture that they strive to cultivate through the entire company.
He said that customer service is an embodiment of their values, dedication and commitment to their customers.
“ This commitment has broaden our new signature, Orange is here, implying that we are here for our customers, employees and all the stakeholders of the company. It represents our company’s brand to the customers. The company receiving feedbacks from our customers is key to our success” he averred.
The CEO said the company recognized the relationship beyond transactions with the customers because it is about building connections and exchanging positive experience.
“ Our mission here is to improve the daily life of the people of Sierra Leone through wonderful and responsible digital experience” he said.
He said that the call centers team twenty four hours efforts will not go unnoticed as they continue to deliver exceptional service.
Representative of the Ministry of Communications, Technology and Innovation, Mumuni Jalloh acknowledged the indelible contributions of Orange Sierra Leone to the sector and the wellbeing of Sierra Leonenas.
He said that CSW is a celebration of the vital role customer service team are playing in Orange and the lives of the people of Sierra Leone.
He lauded the courage of the call centres, back office, shops, agents among others in all corners of the country in delivering service to the customers.
Mr. Jalloh further registered government’s commitment in creating the enabling investment climate for companies to thrive in Sierra Leone.
He said that the Customer Service Department is the backbone for the Orange company to thrive in the country urging them to continue demonstrating exceptional services to the customers.
He admonished the customer service team to place the customers top in everything they do, so that they can achieve greatness together.
The launch of the CSW 2024 was climaxed with deliberation on the topic “ Speaking to Service Excellence in Sierra Leone” by the aforesaid guest speakers which has received feedbacks of major successes and some challenges of the quality service delivering of Orange across the country.
