David Borbor's long streak of luck has been cut short following startling revelations unearthed by the investigative crew of The Satellite.

Among the startling revelations include Director David Borbor's alleged corrupt practices in connivance with some senior officials in his cabal, his maladministration, sexual harassment, and other vices that prompted concerned citizens to call for the Anti-Corruption Commission's immediate intervention to restore sanity to the once reputable and buoyant Agency under his predecessor.

According to investigation, the FIA Director allegedly collects bribes from commercial banks, micro finance companies, and defaulting customers with suspicious transactions in connivance with the Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) Manager, and the Examination and Compliance (E&C) Principal/Manager, who works hand in glove with her Director for the issuance of licences to micro finance companies that have incomplete documentations, debits, and corrupt as compared to his predecessor, Mohamed Konneh, who used to levy heavy fines on defaulting commercial banks, micro finance companies, and defaulting customers for not meeting up with their expectations, as well as raised much needed revenue for the government. Investigation also revealed that Director David Borbor freezes and unfreezes customers' accounts without the consent of the Financial Intelligence Agency's Committee Members after he has received mouthwatering bribes from defaulters with a minimum of NLe 5000. It added that David Borbor's opulent lifestyle is way above his monthly income.

Investigation furthered that the FIA Director allegedly raises funds from staff members on behalf of senior party operatives in government so as to secure his position, adding that his alleged zero detection of bank frauds is very glaring since he assumed office under the former Koroma Administration; instead, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is now doing the work of the Agency.

David Borbor, according to investigation, is unfit to head the FIA, given his TikTok account davidborbor327 as compared to FIA Directors in other countries in the sub region. Under the directorship of David Borbor, the Agency is allegedly disorganized that most staff members are unhappy with its operations, for which they are calling for the immediate intervention of His Excellency, the President to restore sanity to the institution before it is too late.
Investigation also revealed that under the directorship of David Borbor, the agency allegedly operates like a sole proprietorship where things are run by the sole owner. It further revealed that the Deputy Director lives under the shadow of David Borbor, while the general staff members continue to suffer under his administration, save for a few in his cabal.

It furthered that the Agency allegedly runs erratically when it comes to maintaining its Intelligence standards and that decisions on travelling are rubberstamped by the Director without consulting with the FIA Committee.
David Borbor, investigation revealed, allegedly transfers staff members at whim for personal reasons and also monopolizes the functions of senior officials who do not belong to his cabal, thereby depriving them of what is actually expected of them.

It is against these backdrops that concerned citizens are calling on the ACC to audit the requirements in granting licences to micro finance companies, as well as to audit the promotion list under David Borbor's directorship, which investigation revealed is not done by merit.

Investigation also revealed that a staff member, who was transferred from Lungi to Freetown for alleged corruption and indiscipline, was promoted by the Director undeservedly. David Borbor, investigation revealed, is allegedly notorious in sexually harassing both senior and junior female staff members, which is no longer a secret in the institution. With such startling revelations unearthed by The Satellite investigation crew, concerned citizens believe Director David Borbor should be suspended pending investigation and allow a very reputable Sierra Leonean to take the mantle of directorship in that Agency.
