The Honourable Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh at the weekend brokered a peace agreement between the outgoing and the incumbent District Chairmen of Kenema District thereby easing tensions in Kenema City.
According to authentic party sources, VP Juldeh Jalloh as the Deputy Leader of the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) brokered the peace agreement between erstwhile Chairman Moriba S. Koroma aka Agbao and Chairman Benson Brima with support from the National Reconciliation Chairman, Amb. Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina’
The much-anticipated agreement is expected to restore calm and unity to the city and district as party stakeholders are expressing optimism that the resolution will strengthen internal cohesion within the SLPP and allow normal political activities to resume in earnest.
Addressing party supporters and about 320 party delegates from across the country at the SLPP Office in Kenema, VP Juldeh Jalloh reaffirmed his commitment to advancing Eastern Region’s interests and strengthening party unity.
He recalled some of the disputes and misunderstandings during the nationwide primaries, which he described as normal in the struggle for power in political competition.
VP Juldeh Jalloh averred that they all acknowledged the inevitable disagreements that come with partisan competition but urged a focus on peace and cohesion, noting that power is not given on a silver platter; it is fought for and taken. He averred that friction and misunderstanding are part of the process, “but after all of that, peace must be restored.”
The Deputy Leader described Kenema as the heartbeat of the SLPP and assured residents of its continued respect and support from the national leadership as the SLPP works towards broader unity and electoral process.

Leone ahead of his keynote address at the fourth convocation ceremony of the Eastern Technical University (ETU). He was the drive behind the transformation of the institution from a polytechnic and technical training college to full-time university status, marking a milestone that reflects his long-standing commitment to higher education and skills development in the country.
Earlier in his address to party supporters and delegates at the Kenema party office, VP Juldeh Jalloh highlighted his early pledge to support upgrading the local polytechnic in Kenema to full university status, calling it a key part of his contribution to education and development in the Eastern Region.
