Internal sources within the main opposition All People Congress (APC) have intimated that the party is establishing a special membership committee to conduct a thorough review of party eligibility and membership activities.

According to internal sources, this recent development comes following growing internal concerns surrounding the eligibility status of Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara aka Jagaban and the way the APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., communicated the issue.

Senior party stalwarts are reportedly dissatisfied with how information regarding Jagaban’s eligibility was publicly and internally presented by the party scribe. They questioned the accuracy and completeness of information revealed; the procedural basis for claims made; and the impact of public communication on party unity.

Meanwhile, the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) on Saturday 17th January 2026 formally asked :Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya to provide the document for all APC flagbearer aspirants.
