A distinguished daughter of the Northwestern district of Port Loko has made yet another incremental mark of benefit to her home town of Konta Wallah by constructing that riverine community a health centre sponsored solely from her coffers.


Madam Aminata Sesay is a UK based Sierra Leonean whose recent effort in that far flung terrain has not only added value to the national development agenda but is seen as a mark of support to the global sustainable goals.

In an exclusive interview with Madam Sesay, she disclosed to this reporter that her aspirations and deeper sense of devotion to the state and mankind assuring that she intends doing more in the interest of her people as a way of giving back.
This is her second major project, the first was the launch of Amish and Sons Limited which operated trucks, 40ft Trailers and petrol tankers as subsidiary for London Mining Company and African Minerals Ltd.

The business employed over 40 Sierra Leoneans as well as improving livelihoods for resident communities.
Amish and Sons also trades in potable water for urban residents at its factory called Amish Pure Water situated at 56 Bai Bureh Road, Freetown.

No surprise therefore, the gesture to Konta Wallah, Lokomasama chiefdom, Port Loko district being a riverine village situated one hour boat ride from Barbara along the mabolo axis in the Kambia, is indeed laudable.

Given this constraint and topography the philanthropic Sesay believes her effort was of profound benefits to her people.

She however singled out the policy will accorded her efforts by the Vice President of the Republic Dr. Juldeh Jalloh whom she said facilitated a swift opening of the health centre.

The young dynamic lady who is married to Mr. Ismael Sankoh Yillah and is working as a Nurse in UK said this is the first major project which she has undertaken in the community.

She informed this reporter that she started constructing the health center after she lost her mother Haja Fatu Kargbo Sesay on 8th September, 2014.

She however expressed optimism for future partnership with other international organizations calling on them to drive development efforts to that part of the country. “My aim is to help my people and the country,” she averred.

She was accompanied by Fiji based nationality Sheik Abdulai Khan from TEEBAH Foundation in UK.
