The Sierra Leone Football Association Administration under the presidency of Isha Johanssen whose term in office expired several years ago but continues to hold on tenaciously to the position have been accused of manipulating delegates list ahead of the next congress scheduled for April 2020 to elect a new SLFA executive.

According to report, the recent meeting of football stakeholders in an extra-ordinary congress in Kenema did not end well, as many stakeholders raised issues about the Isha administration, which they said, were not adequately responded to.

Stakeholders complain that the various SLFA committees have been illicitly filled with names of known Isha loyalists, which they want to use to disqualify all other contenders for the presidency in the forthcoming Congress to be held in Makeni city this April.

They said most of the names on the manipulated list are close associates of the opposition APC party. They further claimed that one of the lawyers appointed to serve in a committee was part of Isha’s legal team in the corruption case

Therefore, they are imploring the relevant authorities to immediately look into the said list in order to save football from going down the drains under Isha’s presidency yet again.

Madam Isha’s tenure as SLFA President was wracked by a lot of infighting that resulted in breakaways and suspension by FIFA, preventing Sierra Leone from participating in all FIFA organized competition until Isha who faced trial on corruption charges relating to misuse of FIFA funds donated to Sierra Leone and her Secretary General who faced similar charges were reinstated.

The unanswered question about the country’s football loving fans is whether the delegates would vote in Isha for a second term or settle on a new president.
