Police attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have arrested and detained the Deputy Commissioner of Small Arms and Light Weapons, Anthony Sinah, in connection with the license and registration of the pistol found in possession of retired Major Paolo Conteh at State House Anthony Sinah who is presently being questioned by the police is said to have registered and licensed the loaded pistol the former APC minister of Defence and Internal Affairs took to State House where he was to meet with President Bio on Coronavirus preparedness efforts.
Since the arrest and detention of Paolo Conteh few days ago, the main opposition APC party where he served as a member in the party’s second highest decision making body - the National Advisory Council (NAC) is yet to issue a statement, even though some executive members and scores of supporters have out- rightly condemned his action
Paolo being the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Ebola Response Center under the APC government was invited to meet with President Bio at State House to help boost government preparedness in preventing the virus from entering into the country.
The former APC Defence minister is presently behind bars at the Male Correctional Center, as police investigations into the matter continues
Meanwhile, Paolo has confirmed that he indeed moved with his bag which contained his money and a registered licensed pistol, which he declared at State House, while Police claims they intercepted it.
