Chairman of the Interim Transition Governance Committee (ITGC) of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Alfred Peter Conteh, has warned that he would replace members he has appointed to oversee the day-to-day affairs of the party at home and abroad if they failed to send their acceptance note by the close of business yesterday Wednesday 3rd August, 2022.

The Interim Chairman further warned that members of the ITGC assigned to oversee the sixteen electoral districts in the country should also send their acceptance via Text, WhatsApp or email.

Alfred P. Conteh requested for acknowledgement of the appointment by members in a bid to mitigate what he described as the “frequent obstructions and unwarranted parallel leadership in the Committee.”

He sounded the warning in a public notice dated Monday 1st August, 2022.

It could be recalled that very recently, Mr. Conteh appointed Temporary Coordinators at home and the various Diaspora branches but majority have declined to accept their appointments. Most of the appointees say the decision to make the appointments was not unanimous as dictated by Justice Adrian Fisher’s High Court ruling that whatever decision taken by the 21-Man Committee should be based on simple majority.
