The National Returning Officer of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL), Mohamed Konneh, yesterday Tuesday 11th July, 2023 declared the number of seats won by political parties in the twenty-two (22) councils in the country following the councillor election held on Saturday 24th June, 2023.

The seats won by various political parties in the sixteen (16) political districts of the country are as follows:-
1. Kailahun District – APC 2 seats, SLPP 27 seats
2. Kenema CITY – APC 3 SEATS, SLPP 16
3. Kenema DISTRICT – APC 2 seats, SLPP 25
4. Koidu New-Sembehun City Council – APC 5, PMDC 3, SLPP 8
5. Kono District – APC 7, PMDC 3, SLPP 15
6. Bombali District – APC 19, SLPP 2
7. Makeni City – APC 14, SLPP 1
8. Falaba District – APC 8, SLPP 10
9. Koinadugu District – APC 12, SLPP 6
10.Tonkolili District – APC 25, SLPP 4
11.Kambia District – APC 15, NGC 2, SLPP 6
12.Karene District – APC 18, SLPP 3
13.Port Loko City – APC 11, SLPP 2
14.Port Loko District – APC 24, SLPP 4
15.Bo City – APC 4, SLPP 14
16.Bo District – APC 2, SLPP 25
