The restrictions in the bail conditions of erstwhile President Ernest Bai Koroma are not only stringent and specific after three days of intense questioning by CID Headquarters, they have also added a new twist to the failed coup attempt in the early hours of Sunday 26th November, 2023 morning.
According to confirmed report, erstwhile President Koroma reported at the CID Headquarters yesterday for questioning and he returned home after cooperating with the ongoing investigations into the failed coup attempt, which marks a crucial step in shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
While former President Koroma is expected to report to CID Headquarters today Tuesday, the former Head of State is still required to remain within the confines of his property at Femi Turner Drive, Goderich, and his interactions are limited to a selected few, as only three family members and three members from his All People’s Congress (APC) political party are permitted as vising guests.
Former President Koroma is also prohibited from stepping outside his residences without the expressed permission of the Inspector General of Police, according to the bail conditions.
The bail conditions of the former President have sparked serious discussions nationwide with citizens expressing different opinions on social media and in public forums.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports are that there are seventy-six (76) evidences against former President Koroma at the CID Headquarters in Freetown and it will take some time for the detectives to complete the interrogation of the former President.
