The Sierra Leone Ports and Harbours Authority (SLPHA) has been honoured again as the Best Performing Agency of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation (MTA) for 2025, in recognition of its outstanding achievements, leadership, and continued commitment to excellence in the maritime sector.

Reading the citation, the Senior Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Mr Edward Kwame Yankson stated that the award was given as a result of the outstanding performance of SLPHA in promoting efficiency and productivity.

Receiving the award on behalf of the SLPHA Director General Mr. Yankuba Askia Bio, the Director of Research, Planning & Development, Abubakarr Sidique Kamara Esq. submitted that the award is a clear demonstration of the hard work and dedication of the Authority with a focused leadership. He assured the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of SLPHA’s continued and unwavering commitment to effective service delivery.

The award to MDAs under the Ministry of Transport and Aviation is an initiative by the Ministry to recognize hard work and dedication.
