The proactive Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt together with the Management of the National Tourist Board (NTB) yesterday Thursday 4th May, 2023 held a conducted tour of the Hotel Tourism Training Centre (HTTC) School Building at Brookfield in Freetown.
The new state-of-the-art 24-bedroom hotel for Hotel Tourism Training Centre (HTTC) Building was jointly funded by the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) and the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL).
Speaking at the site, the Hon. Minister, Dr. Memunatu Pratt said she was very much impressed with the progress of work done so far at the site.
She further underscored the importance of the Tourism School to actualize His Excellency President Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio's dream for the improvement of tourism in the country. "We are thinking hugely for the future of tourism, that is why the New Direction SLPP Government is laying the foundation to boost the sector," the Minister averred.
The General Manager of the National Tourist Board (NTB), Madam Fatmata Carew, who is also the Project Manager for the Tourism Enhanced Integrated Framework, said she was very much delighted at the way and manner the project was going on. She expressed thanks and appreciation to the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) and EIF for the continued support towards the tourism industry.
The Minister of Tourism was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Kwame Yansin, Chairman Board of Directors of the National Tourist Board, Mr. Allieu Kokobaye, and other Board of Directors.
